Little Brother's Romper with a sweet discount!

April 21, 2017

Thirty-three years ago when I was dressing my own toddler, we used to call these bubbles.  Maybe it's because their round chubby bodies resembled fat bubbles.  In summer I would put him in a diaper, a romper and a pair of sandals and proclaim him to be darling! Nowadays and perhaps more accurately, these little onesies are called rompers.  I love that name! Now that I'm knitting for the son of that now grown-up toddler, I'm happy to see these little rompers are back in favor.   When looking for the perfect romper to knit for my grandson, I fell in love with PetiteKnits baby designs and decided Little Brother's Romper would be my first foray into knitted rompers.  It's a quick knit in aran weight yarn that is knit bottom-up and in-the-round. It is sized in newborn to 24 months.  I knit the 12-18 mos. size and used machine washable Rowan All Seasons Cotton.  My new little romper is just scrumptious!

Mette of PetiteKnits has generously offered to give my readers a 30% discount on ALL her patterns. Use the coupon code KNITIONARY at checkout.  The discount is good through the weekend. Go to PetiteKnit's Ravelry design page to see all Mette's pretty designs which include her gorgeous Anker's Sweater for adults and children, Teddy Bear, Dagmar's Dress, No-Frills, and Milla's Summer Suit and save 30%! Hurry now, the code expires at the end of the weekend.

While walking around the garden this morning looking for the perfect photo spot, I took some fresh garden shots as it seems to change every day. The vegetable garden is almost entirely planted and the roses are starting to put on their grand show. California spring, oh how I love you.
