Storm

October 07, 2013

Feeling happy!  Storm, a new publication from Kim Hargreaves will soon be available and I've got a sneaky peek for you.  She has quite a few designs featuring Rowan's new Angora Haze.  If you haven't yet tried this yarn, believe me, it's GORGEOUS!  I am closing in on finishing a cardigan and a v-neck pullover with AH and looks like I may not be done with this yarn yet!  Below check out my favorites from the book and the very reason why Kim is such a darling in the world of knit designers!

Annis.  A few seasons ago Kim showed this pattern in Pure Cashmere DK,
now made even more beautiful with Angora Haze.  The color is Nest, a soft pinky beige.

Tyne, fabulous cables in Rowan Wool Cotton.

Fara, another beauty in Rowan Angora Haze.
Caris in Kidsilk Haze and Fine Lace.  Want!

What a great coat!  Echo in Rowan Tweed Aran.

Isolde in Rowan Lima, so simple and pretty.

Myra in Rowan Alpaca DK.  I have some Rowan Felted Tweed DK in my stash that would be perfect!

Shale, a classic notched collar jacket in Rowan Big Wool.  This looks like it needs to be in my wardrobe.

Tempest in Alpaca Cotton.

Very cool.  Blaire in Angora Haze.

Beautiful, aren't they?  There are more designs in the book, I'm just sharing my favs.  These sweaters are the classic Kim style that her fans love; simple, wearable and beautiful designs showcasing beautiful yarn.  As of today, the book isn't out on Kim's website yet, but it should be available very soon.  In the meantime just enjoy the photos and imagine how your queue will grow.  On Rowan's website you can view all the patterns.

On Wednesday I hope to bring you a modeled pic of my newest FO, Rita by Martin Storey in Angora Haze.  I know I do blabber on and on about Rowan, but I am a Rowan Ambassador after all!  And that's only because I am a die-hard Rowan fan from way back.  Looking at these fabulous designs knit with these gorgeous yarns and I'm sure you can understand why!

If you haven't already, enter my Rowan Mag giveaway here! You may win!
Have a knitty week!
xoxo
